ICIC Key Principles and Beliefs

We are Christians (Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox and Evangelical) united in the belief that we are called to “Go out and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19) so that “… all be one.” (John 17:21)

We believe…

…in one God existing in three persons: Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit.

…that Jesus Christ is both God and man, fully divine and fully human.

…that salvation is achieved through faith in Jesus Christ and His atoning sacrifice.

…that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, authoritative and trustworthy.

…that the church, the Body of Christ, consists of the people of God united in faith.

…in eternal life with God for those who believe in Jesus Christ.

…that all Christians are united in Jesus Christ, regardless of their denominational differences.

…that human beings are fearfully and wonderfully created by God in His image, and all are worthy of dignity and respect.

…in God’s design for the two sexes – male and female – and that marriage is a sacred and holy union between one man and one woman, ordained by God, and should be cherished and upheld.

…that the family is the nucleus of human society; it is the domestic church and the first school of faith in God and core human values.
